GENERAL ADOPTION INFORMATION
The fastest and easier way to begin the adoption process is to complete an online application!
Here's a link to the application:
http://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form_humanverify?formid=3961
Adoption fees are usually between $450-$590. The fee will depend on the age, health, and temperament of that dog. We accept credit cards via PayPal, money orders, cash, or certified bank checks for the full adoption fee at time of placement.
In addition to the adoption fees, our ability to help dogs in need heavily weighs on the generosity of the public and their donations! In most cases, the medical costs far outweigh the adoption fees. We cannot thank our donors, adopters, and supporters enough. Without you, we would not be able to help the large number of dogs we do!
We look forward to reviewing your application.
PUPPY REQUIREMENTS
-
A companion dog
-
This can be a current dog or the adopters may adopt both the puppy and an adult companion
-
Socialization plan which would allow proper daily socialization is also acceptable
-
-
No more than two hours spent alone at a time
-
A fully-fenced yard for homes and an exercise plan for apartments
-
A diet of freeze dried or dehydrated food such as The Honest Kitchen
Please note: There is a clause that maintains that large breed puppies must go through puppy obedience schooling (several levels) and pass the Good Canine Citizen Certificate test. Statistics show that over 6 million dogs are killed in shelters annually and over 1.5 million dogs are dumped in kill shelters due to failure to train and inability to handle large breed dogs. In order to prevent this from happening to our rescue dogs, we have implemented this requirement.
